Xiaomi 17 Ultra Battery Capacity Leaks, Bigger Than Its Predecessor

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is set to shake up the flagship market with a larger battery than its predecessor and a 200-megapixel Leica-branded camera.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to be unveiled soon, and a new report suggests that the flagship smartphone will feature a massive 6,800mAh battery an impressive upgrade over the 6,000mAh cell used in the previous generation.

According to Gizmo China, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will support 100W wired fast charging along with wireless charging. The device is also said to launch in black, white, green, and purple, offering a wider range of color options compared to its predecessor.

In terms of design, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is reportedly 8mm thick and weighs 227 grams. This makes it noticeably slimmer than last year’s 9.4mm model, with subtle refinements aimed at improving overall ergonomics.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to feature a flat 6.8-inch 2K LTPO display, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It will also introduce a new triple-camera system developed in collaboration with Leica, highlighted by a 200-megapixel periscope lens positioning the device as a strong contender in mobile photography.
