Which Xiaomi Air Purifier Fits Your Room? Compact vs Lite vs Pro
Share
For a UAE apartment or villa, start with the room you want to use an air purifier in most often. The Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact, 4 Lite and 4 Pro have different rated coverage ranges and clean-air delivery rates. Choosing the right size is more useful than choosing by the model name alone.
Our recommendation: shortlist the Compact for a smaller enclosed room, the Lite for a medium room, and the Pro when a larger room calls for more airflow. These are specification-based recommendations, not results from our own room tests.
Compare the three models
| Model | Coverage area | Particle CADR | Dimensions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact | 16–27m² | 230m³/h | 220mm diameter × 355mm high |
| Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Lite | 25–43m² | 360m³/h | 240 × 240 × 533.5mm |
| Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Pro | 35–60m² | 500m³/h | 275 × 275 × 680mm |
Coverage figures are manufacturer ratings under specified conditions, not a guarantee for every home. Layout, ceiling height, fan setting, open doors and filter condition affect results.
1. Measure the room, not the entire property
For a rectangular room, multiply length by width in metres. A 4m × 5m bedroom is 20m²; a 5m × 7m living room is 35m². Use those numbers to build your shortlist.
A 20m² enclosed bedroom falls within the Compact’s stated range. A 35m² room sits within the Lite and Pro ranges, so both deserve consideration. If the living room opens directly into a dining area, include that connected space when assessing the job you expect one purifier to do. Do not assume a unit in a corridor will serve every closed bedroom.
2. Understand what CADR tells you
Particle CADR is a clean-air delivery measure expressed in cubic metres per hour. Among these models, the Pro has the highest listed particle CADR and the Compact the lowest. That helps distinguish their airflow capacity; it does not establish that one removes every kind of pollutant or cleans every room at the same speed.
If you expect to use a quiet setting much of the time, check the manufacturer’s mode-specific information before buying. Do not assume the headline CADR applies in every mode, or compare one model’s night-mode sound figure with another model’s maximum noise specification.
3. Choose a size you can place properly
The Compact is substantially shorter than the two tower models. Before ordering, measure the intended spot and check the manual’s clearance requirements. Leave the air intake and outlet unobstructed; a location behind furniture may be convenient for storage but unsuitable for operation.
Think about which room matters most: the bedroom overnight or the living area during the day. A clear priority makes a better starting point than expecting one portable device to cover a whole home at once.
4. Include filter care in the decision
Check the exact replacement-filter model and current availability before committing to a purifier. Follow the unit’s maintenance instructions and replacement prompts. Avoid assuming a fixed filter lifespan will apply equally to every household.
Which one should you shortlist?
- Compact: a practical starting point for a smaller room within its rated range and limited placement space.
- Lite: worth considering for a medium room when its coverage and physical size fit your plan.
- Pro: worth considering for a larger room, or when you want the highest listed airflow of these three and have room for the taller body.
