Frequently asked questions
Does it vacuum and mop?
Yes. It combines vacuuming with a roller mop that is continuously rinsed and scraped during cleaning.
Does the station wash and dry the mop?
Yes. Xiaomi specifies mop washing up to 85°C and hot-air drying at 50°C under laboratory conditions. It also automatically empties the dust compartment.
Can it cross thresholds and clean under furniture?
Xiaomi specifies single-step climbing up to 6cm and access to spaces with at least 9.3cm clearance using retractable LiDAR. Actual performance depends on the surface, obstacle shape and room layout.
How does it handle carpets?
Ultrasonic carpet detection can lift the roller mop by 10mm. For carpets thicker than 8mm, long pile or fringes, Xiaomi recommends carpet avoidance. Carpet boost must be enabled in the app.
Are AI recognition and camera features always on?
AI recognition, video management and real-scene photos are disabled by default and must be enabled manually in Xiaomi Home. Voice assistants require compatible devices and supported regions.
