Make a compatible existing door lock smarter

The Xiaomi Self-Install Smart Lock adds motorised control to a compatible mechanical cylinder from the inside of the door. Use the Xiaomi Home app for nearby Bluetooth access or remote Wi-Fi control, and retain a compatible mechanical key as a backup. Its retrofit design is intended to avoid drilling or replacing the entire lock mechanism when your cylinder and door clearance are suitable.

This is the lock-only package, BHR07X4GL. The external fingerprint/PIN keypad is sold separately and is not included. Fingerprint entry and keypad PIN codes require that additional accessory.

Check your door before buying

Fit depends on cylinder type, key or thumbturn shape, mounting space and free movement of the existing lock. For key-based installation, Xiaomi specifies a key thickness up to 5mm and remaining key-blade length up to 37mm after insertion. The cylinder must allow unlocking from outside while another key is left inside. For thumbturn installation, the knob must be removable and fit a supplied adapter. Follow Xiaomi's installation guide for your particular cylinder; compatibility is not guaranteed simply because the door uses a key.

The motorised unit belongs on the dry interior side of the door. It is not waterproof. A compatible mechanical cylinder, door handle and keys form part of your existing installation and are not supplied as a replacement door-lock assembly.

Connectivity and daily use

Remote control and online updates depend on network availability. The Wi-Fi connection uses 2.4GHz; 5GHz-only networks are not supported. Matter integration requires compatible ecosystem hardware; a border router is marked as required on the product packaging. Third-party voice functions depend on platform settings, authentication and regional availability. Keep an accessible mechanical key and recharge when a low-battery warning appears.

Common questions

Can I open it with a fingerprint?
Only after adding the compatible external keypad. This lock-only box provides the indoor motor unit and its listed accessories.

Does auto-lock work immediately?
Install and calibrate the door sensor and enable the feature in Xiaomi Home. Check operation with the door open before relying on the installation.

Will it work with every door?
No. Match the cylinder, key/knob dimensions and mounting clearance to Xiaomi's compatibility guide first.
